Our current fund raising goal is to assist The Wansey Dialysis Centre in Charlestown with the replacement of the patient chairs which are in use during dialysis everyday. These chairs which have to be comfortable, practical and able to respond in a medical emergency, cost in the vicinity of $5500.00 each and 22 are required. As you can see a major effort is required so any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated. Great News !! Charlestown Lions will be providing a donation of $10,000 (along with a successful grant application) a further $40,000 from Lions NSW-ACT Save Sight and Public Health Foundations, totalling $50,000. (10 chairs).!! Along with 2 chairs already donated by HANKA (Hunter And Northern Kidney Association), means that more than half the new chairs required have now been provided !!
